The kids want to enjoy Halloween and there are several area events that take place this week. Friday, October 26 head to the Steele County History Center for A Haunting We Will Go. It's a free family event that runs 6:30-8PM and will activities such as pumpkin bowling and apple toss.

The Trick or Treat Trail returns this Saturday, October 27 to Manthey Park in Owatonna. Bring the young ones out between 2-4 PM for treats galore.

River Bend Nature Center is offering their Bats, Bones and Bonfires this Saturday from 2-6PM. It will be an afternoon of nature-based Halloween fun that will include a bounce house, face painting and the new Trick-or-Treat Bat trail.

And of course on October 31 there'll be things to take in as well. The Blooming Prairie Servicemen's Club will offer their Goblin March for pre-schoolers through 6th graders from 4-6PM. Treats and fun are on the docket.

The annual Haunted Yard and Food Shelf Drive will return this Halloween. Stop by 338 13th Street NE in Owatonna. Donations of non-perishable food items and cash will be accepted all day for the Steele County Food Shelf. Trick or treaters are welcome from 5-8PM.
