Zumbrota-Mazeppa Moves Up in Volleyball Coaches Poll

The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars jumped two spots in the first in-season Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association Class 2A State poll.

Faribault Bethlehem Academy remained at #3 with a big match tonight at top ranked defending Class 1A State Champion Mayer Lutheran.

Kasson-Mantorville is #2, Stewartville #3, Byron #5 in Class 3A.

Northfield jumped from #9 to #6 thanks to some wins against South Suburban Conference competition.

Lakeville North is #5, Rosemount #8, Eagan tied with Rochester Mayo #9. Lakeville South received votes in the Class 4A poll.

Cannon Falls is #9, Caledonia #10 in Class 2A

There are four schools in Section 1A ranked in the top 10 in the state. In addition to defending Section 1A Champions Bethlehem Academy are Mabel-Canton #5, Kenyon-Wanamingo #6, Spring Grove #9

Zumbrota-Mazeppa defeated then #2 ranked 3A Stewartville in Stewartville in 4 sets last week and swept a good St. Croix Lutheran team.
