Dalton, MN (KROC AM News) - A tornado that touched down in west-central Minnesota killed one person and injured at least two others.

The National Weather Service received the first report just after 5:00 PM Wednesday near the town of Dalton.

Otter Tail County posted this information on its Facebook page:

UPDATE: Two people were taken to the hospital with unknown conditions. Sheriff Fitzgibbons confirms one fatality. The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office emergency operations team has completed searching the tornado impact area east of Dalton to the northeast in an impact zone of about 6-9 miles. No one is known missing at this time.

Two more reports of the tornado in the Dalton area were received a short while later. One report included this information:

3 FARMSTEADS HAVE BEEN HIT. TORNADO CURRENTLY AT 295TH AND STATE HIGHWAY 82. TORNADO CROSSED I-94, BUT NO VEHICLES WERE AFFECTED.

There was a report of another tornado about an hour later near the town of Vining, also in Otter Tail County.
