The United Way of Steele County announces their new president as Annette Duncan. The news was released as part of the Tuesday Talk e-newsletter distributed by the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. Several other organizations were highlighted as well.

Duncan has a degree in Organizational Management and Communication from Concordia-St. Paul and a masters degree in Nonprofit Management from Adler University. She served as United Way Board Chair from 2012-2014 and was on the board overall from 2007 to 2015. Duncan was most recently the Executive Director of the Exchange Club Center for Family Unity.

Duncan says, "I have a passion for the work of the United Way. Accepting the President position is exciting and allows me to expand my influence and capability to help even more people achieve success."

Climate by Design announces a new supply chain manager. John Clemons most recently was a commodity manager and has over 30 years of experience in supply chain management. He has a bachelor's degree from Minnesota Statue University-Mankato.

Fareway Stores announces a plan to donate to chambers of commerce in the communities they serve in Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Those gift cards will assist small businesses hit hard by the coronavirus after effects.

Reynolds W. Cramer, Fareway President and CEO, said, "Local chambers have the pulse in each community and how best to serve its small business members during this time of need."

Little Theatre of Owatonna announces their 2020 Veta Alexander Scholarship winner. Riauna Bishop, daughter of Nicki and Benji Bishop, of Blooming Prairie receives the scholarship. Bishop has participated in BPHS theatrical performances each of the last four years and plans to attend MSU-Mankato and major in nursing.
