He was arrested around 4 a.m. Thursday.

Also highlighted this week: Faribault Police gave notice of a residential burglary that was interrupted by an observant neighbor/witness, which resulted in charges of "Receiving Stolen Property, 2nd-degree Burglary, Carrying a Pistol without a Permit, and Fleeing a Peace Officer on Foot"

Outdoor warning sirens will sound in a simulated tornado warning on Thursday. The first drill is intended for institutions and businesses. The evening drill is intended for second shift workers and families.

You may have also noticed officers out in the community sporting different badges, ones that look like what you'd see in a movie from the 1880s.

"In 2021, the Faribault Police Department took 21 reports of catalytic converter thefts, and have already taken 11 reports in 2022."

There is another type of 'plunge' that will be happening right off one of Faribault's busiest streets on Satruday afternoon.
