Bring Me the News reported that Police responded to the Elementary at 11:35 am on Tuesday, February 11th, after a call was made by school resource officers.  Students reported the baggie with a "crystal type" substance to a teacher. They are unsure how or why the drugs were outside of the Elementary. Though the children did the right thing, the Sheriff's office wants parents to remind kids to not handle any items they are unsure of and that may pose a safety concern.

According to the Department of Public Safety, there has been a rise in the amount of meth sized by law enforcement in the State. Most of which they believe is coming from Mexico.
