Owatonna is Celebrating National Entrepreneurship Week
According to dictionary.com, an entrepreneur is:
noun, plural en·tre·pre·neurs [ahn-truh-pruh-nurz, -noo rz; French ahn-truh-pruh-nœr] .
a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.an employer of productive labor; contractor.
Without that spirit and drive to start a business, enterprise, and without that risk, there are several businesses, locally, that would not exist. The landscape of Southeastern Minnesota would not look the same. National Entrepreneurship Week is next week, starting on February 17th and going through February 21st, and there are a lot of activities throughout the area.
On February 5th, the Owatonna Area Business Development Center board had a meeting and selected the 5 finalists for the 2020 Entrepreneur of the Year, after a 2 hour deliberation. The winner will be announced at the Recognition Ceremony on February
21st, from 11 am - 1 pm at the Owatonna Public Utitlities.
