The slate of entertainers on the free entertainment stages at the 2015 Steele County Free Fair has been confirmed.

This year, the fair has announced that there will be entertainment on four stages on the fairgrounds: United Prairie Bank Fair Square Stage, the KRFO Stage, the Village of Yesteryear Stage, and this year Camp Pillsbury will be featuring entertainment provided by their summer students along with Joyce Rice and the “Thank a Farmer” program.

Some old favorites will be returning, and new entertainment options will grace the stages. Fair Square will host crowd favorites including Ray Sands and the Polka Dots, the Owatonna Community Band, Leon Olsen, the Marv Nissel Band, the Jimmys, Bluegrass Review, Logan Johnson and Noah DeKam, Jill Hoggard Dancers, Stix of Fury Drum Line, White Sidewalls, Just Friends, Dan Stursa, Chmielewski Band, American Pie, Fabulous Love Handles, the Vegas Guys and the D.C. Drifters. The fair's final day finale features the OHS football team and cheerleaders.

New groups performing in Fair Square this year will be OHS grad Scott Rogness and the Shasta Kings, Hans Hohrman, Jake Jones Country Music, The Concord German Singers from New Ulm, Funktion Junction, Jack Pearson, a magician (Wednesday Kid’s Day), The Sonflower Puppets (Friday Kid’s Day), Wally Pikal (senior day), The Klondike Kates from the Minneapolis Aquatennial, Turpentine Wine, Kris and the Riverbend Dutchmen.

Acts returning to the KRFO / Kat Kountry 105 Stage will be Tim Penny and his band The Pumper, Peddler and Politician, FlemmingFold, Dave Williams, Darlene and the Boys, Line Dancing, Square Dancing, Lisa Murphy, Singing Cowgirl, Stanley Koslowski Band and American Pie. KRFO Stage newcomers will include Jake Jones Country Music, Dennis Warner and the D’s, Dain’s Dutchmen, Greta Jacobson, Dueling Pianos, and the Stix of Fury Drum Line.

This year, Owatonna Motor Co. will be bringing you David Smith Jr., Human Cannonball. Smith will be shot over a midway ride twice daily during the fair.
