SMSU Professor is the Newest Millionaire
Last month, Five lucky people became the newest Millionaires. The last of the five has been announced as a College Professor.
John Engstrom of Mountain Lake is an Associate Professor of Education at Southwest Minnesota State University. According to the press release by the Minnesota Lottery, Engstrom were doing some last minute Christmas shopping and made a quick stop at a Mankato Kwik Trip.
What the heck, I should buy a ticket.
After John bought the ticket, he put it in his coat pocket and forgot all about it until Christmas Eve when he had to do some laundry after his 11-month old grandson made a mess. It was then, he discovered that his impulse decision to buy the lottery ticket turned out to be a $1 million winner!
I told my son, ‘Your baby had a million-dollar mess!’ If it wasn’t for his messy diaper, I wouldn’t have checked the ticket.
As accustomary for selling a winning ticket, Kwik Trip #344 located at 2549 E. Madison Ave. in Mankato earned a $5000 bonus.
