SE Minnesota No Longer Facing Threat of Heavy Snow
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Storm? What storm? A beautiful sunrise Saturday was followed by news that the threat of a significant snowstorm for Rochester and other parts of SE Minnesota has been greatly diminished.
Here's how it looked before the storm moved in Saturday morning.
Here's what it looked like a few hours later!
Snow is still in the forecast for Saturday. But unlike the threat of 3 - 8 inches, the National Weather Service now predicts rain and 1 - 3 inches of snow by Saturday evening. That would still be enough to set an all-time seasonal snow record in Rochester. After the storm moves out, cooler air will move in for several days with below normal temps expected all of next week.
