Saturday Golf Tournament Raises Money for Owatonna Girls Basketball
The third annual golf scramble to benefit the Owatonna High School girls basketball program is Saturday, July 30, at Brooktree Golf Course in Owatonna.
Registration for the four-person scramble begins at 9AM Saturday morning. A 10AM shotgun start will open the event. The cost is $260 per team, but individuals may sign up. The entry fee includes golf with a cart, lunch afterward and a prize bag. A silent auction also will be held inside the Brooktree Clubhouse.
OHS coach Tricia Hoffman indicates a great turnout of golfers is expected, with 17 teams set to go. She says there is room for a few more teams. Anyone with questions can contact Hoffman at (507) 456-4869. Click here for the signup brochure.
The event benefits Owatonna High School girls basketball, raising money for equipment, travel and uniforms among other expenses.
The tournament is also a great tune up for those planning to play in the Owatonna City Open on August 6-7 at Brooktree and the Owatonna Country Club. That tournament is open to anyone who lives or works in Steele County. The entry fee is just $30 to play both courses. The junior open is August 4-5 and costs just $15. Sign up at either course.
