After earning playoff wins in the rain Tuesday, the Huskies soccer seasons ended in the cold, windy conditions Thursday in the section semifinals. The OHS girls lost 4-0 at Lakeville South and the boys dropped a 4-1 decision at Rochester Mayo.

The Owatonna girls (10-7-1 overall) will graduate seniors Sydney Kretlow, Kiley Friedrichs, Emma Zimmerman, Cassie Trout, Jordan Whalen and Molly Hawkins off the team.

The Huskies boys (13-4-1 overall) will graduate Alex Beaver, Devin Omangi, David Keller, Zach Williams, Andrew Munns, Zach Barrett, Steven Eckard, Jose Reyes, Peter Fast, Jack Hanson, Jared Fett, Caleb Kess, Cody Bussert, Matthew DeHaan, Abdul Geelle and Marc Berkley.

Tuesday's section finals for the girls will see defending 1AA champ Lakeville North hosting Farmington. The boys title will send defending champ Lakeville North to Rochester Mayo.

In other Thursday OHS sports, girls tennis players Emily Rahrick and Sara Anderson advanced through the subsection to Tuesday's section finals. Owatonna volleyball lost 3-sets-to-none at Winona. The cross country meet at Mankato was canceled due to course conditions. Owatonna's ninth-grade football team improved to 7-0 with a 34-8 win over Northfield.
