Owatonna Names New High School Principal

The OHS Magnet is reporting the hiring of Kory Kath as the new Owatonna High School Principal starting in the 2019-2020 school year. Kath replaces Mark Randall who recently announced his resignation from the position.

Kath is returning to his roots at OHS. He previously served as a Social Studies teacher and student council advisor. Kat also served as State Representative from 2008 -2012. Most recently Kath had been serving as Principal at Eagle Lake Elementary from 2014-2019. He also served as Assistant Principal at Mankato East High School for several years.

There were five rounds of interviews for the candidates before the final decision was made.
