Owatonna Hospital Wins ‘Top 100′ Award
Owatonna Hospital, part of Allina Health, is a winner of the Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital. Owatonna Hospital is one of just three institutions in Minnesota to earn the honor, which is presented by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.
In a news release from Owatonna Hospital, part of Allina Health, president David Albrecht states, "We are incredibly honored to be recognized as a 2021 Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital. This award validates the dedication and hard work of our team to deliver outstanding care and high value to our patients. Our high ranking demonstrates our physicians, nurses, and staff's deep commitment to caring for those we serve."
Michael Topchik with Chartis says, "The Top 100 program continues to illuminate strategies and innovation for delivering higher quality care and better outcomes within rural communities."
The index assesses rural hospitals "across eight pillars of performance, including market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge, and financial efficiency," according to the news release.
