Freshman Grace Wolfe scored with 3:36 remaining to lift the Huskies past nemesis Lakeville North 1-0 Saturday at the Lincoln soccer complex in Owatonna. The victory gives OHS back-to-back wins over South Suburban teams they lost to last season. The Huskies beat Farmington 2-0 Thursday.

Owatonna had numerous scoring chances in the first half, but was only credited with one shot. That changed in the second half as the Huskies had multiple shots, including opportunities from Bria Wachowiak and Nicole Vargas in the opening minutes, but the scoreless tie held strong.

OHS goalkeeper Jamie Davison was called upon to make several stops about 10 minutes into the second half and ended up with her second straight shutout.

More chances to score came Owatonna's way with 18 minutes to go, but the zero stayed on the board. With nine minutes remaining, Sydney Kretlow sent a crossing pass to Jordan Whalen, who chipped the ball just high over the bar.

Wolfe's goal from near the top of the box was looped over the goalie's head and under the cross bar for the 1-0 win. Owatonna lost to North twice last season. The Panthers won their sixth straight section title last fall.

Senior Sophie Amundson played Saturday despite getting stitches at Thursday's game after a midair collision while heading the ball. She got an assist on the play Thursday. The Huskies (2-0) host Byron on Tuesday before going to defending Big Nine champ Mankato West on Thursday.
