Owatonna put another game into running time as they whipped John Marshall 42-6 Friday night in Rochester. The Huskies led 28-0 at the half and their starters scored on six of their seven drives. OHS forced three fumbles and Tucker Alstead intercepted two passes. Two other victories also put the mercy rule into effect.

Jason Williamson rushed for three touchdowns and about 140 yards. Abe Havelka tossed three more touchdown passes, giving him 16 for the season and had about 210 yards through the air. Noah Budach hauled in two scoring strikes and Dalton Kubista caught the other.

OHS put together several ball-control drives, including a 13-play, 66-yard drive to open the scoring. They added an 11-play, 46-yard series to score just before halftime. Zach Mensink had a huge night with many tackles from his linebacker spot as the Huskies' defense held the Rockets to less than 150 total yards. David Keller connected on all six extra-point attempts in his varsity debut. Keller also plays soccer at OHS. The Huskies (4-0) host Mankato East for homecoming September 29.
