Heading into the final week of the regular season, the OHS boys golf team is still battling to repeat as conference champion. They host a quad on Tuesday. The Big Nine meet is May 18.

On the KRFO coaches show Saturday, OHS boys golf coach Keith Bangs spoke of a close win on Friday. He also previews the week ahead, which includes a pair of home matches. Tuesday, May 12, Owatonna hosts Albert Lea, Rochester Mayo and Austin at 2:30PM at the Owatonna Country Club.

Saturday, May 16, the Huskies host their Federated Tournament. They will get a rematch with Rochester Lourdes, who edged Owatonna by one stroke during a recent meet at The Jewel in Lake City.

The Big Nine for the boys is Monday, May 18, at Faribault Golf and Country Club. OHS has won the past two titles and is led by one of the top golfers in the state with future Gopher Peter Jones.

Owatonna girls golf, and the rest of the conference, is chasing powerhouse Red Wing for the conference championship. The Huskies won the title last year. The final regular season matches for the Huskies include a Monday, May 11, match at Austin. Wednesday they play at Troy Burne Course in Hudson, Wis. Friday they have a make up meet in Rochester against Red Wing and Century.

The Big Nine meet for the girls is Monday, May 18, at Eastwood in Rochester.
