No. 6 seed NRHEG upset No. 3 Alden-Conger 3-2 Thursday in the Section 2A, South Subsection quarterfinals. NRHEG advances to semifinals at St. Peter High School with a 25-19, 15-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-8 victory. The Panthers will see No. 2 seed St. Clair Tuesday at 7:45PM.

Medford was on the other end of a No. 6 over No. 3 upset, losing to Goodhue 3-0 in Section 1A, West Subsection. The Wildcats jumped out to big leads in each of the first two sets and rallied from behind in the third for a 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 sweep. Tigers seniors include Madi Krenske, Kelsey Kern, Kaylee Kern, Amanda Honsey and Kayleigh Walock. Goodhue advances to the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester and will face Bethlehem Academy Saturday October 28 at 2:30PM on Kat Kountry 105FM.

No. 5 seed Blooming Prairie's season ended with a straight sets loss to No. 4 Grand Meadow 25-5, 25-19, 25-16. BP's seniors are Linnea Sunde, Asia Thompson, Sam Wurst, Ayren Ingvalson, McKenna Hein and Rachel Pirkl.

Triton lost to top-seed Stewartville 3-0 in Section 1AA, West Subsection quarterfinal action. The Cobras only seniors are Colleen West and Allissa Hallaway. The Tigers will face Byron in one semifinal, while Kasson-Mantorville will square off with Cannon Falls in the other Saturday at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester.
