Northfield Boys Hockey Still in Class A Top 20
Let's Play Hockey came out with their latest rankings Wednesday. In Class A the Northfield Raiders and Mankato East Cougars traded places from the previous week. The Raiders #16 and Cougars #15. The only other area team in the rankings was Minnesota River at #18.
Hermantown is on top followed by St. Cloud Cathedral. Totino-Grace jumped from #5 to #3 in Class A. Two South Suburban teams made the top 20 in Class AA. Rosemount is #10 up two spots from last week. Eagan is #20 back a spot from the previous poll. Edina is still #1 followed by Minnetonka #2.

Mankato East is now tied with Owatonna for the Big 9 Conference lead with 26 points each. The Cougars are 8-2, Huskies 9-2 in conference play. The 9-1 Rochester Century Panthers are 4 points behind with a big showdown Friday at Owatonna. Northfield is 9-4, tied with Century in the standings. 8-4 Albert Lea, 7-4 Rochester Mayo are next in the standings with 20 points.
Seven teams in the Big 9 have double digit wins overall on the season.
All of the Thursday boys hockey conference games were rescheduled.
Friday Faribault travels to Red Wing, Mayo plays John Marshall, Mankato West is at Albert Lea and Century travels to Owatonna.
Austin is at Mankato East for a makeup game from February 5.
Saturday Century is at Mankato West. Northfield is at New Prague for a non-conference tilt on February 16th.
