National FFA Convention Parade
The 91st National FFA Convention began today in Indianapolis Indiana. The delegate sessions will be held in the Bankers Life Field House where the Indiana Pacers play. The Expo and Career Fair along with many workshops will be in the Indiana Convention Center. The Lucas Oil Stadium where the Indianapolis Colts play will host the big concert.
For the National FFA Convention the street in downtown Indianapolis between the Bankers Life Field House and Indiana Convention Center is renamed FFA Way. It is closed to all traffic, except of course for FFA members and guests walking between the Convention Center and Field House. Plus a John Deere Tractor?
In the picture is a new John Deere tractor waiting to lead the parade down FFA Way. The tractor was followed by the National FFA Band and FFA members carrying a flag from all 50 states, the Virgin Isles and Puerto Rico. This year marks the 75th year that John Deere has been a major supporter of the FFA. That is why the John Deere lead the parade down FFA way.
A John Deere tractor in downtown Indianapolis brings a little class to the city, along with about 65,000 FFA members in blue jackets!
