Minnesota Timberwolves Jerseys Are Going Purple

While there is very little information about the new jerseys (as in when they are going to wear them AND when I can get mine), there are reports online suggesting it's Nike's "City Edition" for the Timberwolves jerseys. When Nike first announced they were doing NBA City Edition uniforms, they said they wanted the jerseys to "capture each team and its city in a way that respects the past and present while also positioning them for the future.”

What better way to represent Minneapolis (Minnesota as a whole, in all reality), than adding a splash of purple to the jerseys?! Yes, a tribute to the late, great Prince. The jerseys are black with purple lettering. The same font used for The Revolution's 1984 album and the film, Purple Rain. Seriously though, look how cool these are! (Can't see the picture?
