I have become  a huge fan of the game show Jeopardy over the last few months and this past 2 weeks was extra exciting since it was the college version of the show. Why so exciting you may ask? Well because for one, the questions or categories are sometimes easier and also one of the contestants was Nibir Sarma a sophomore at The University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

Sarma was up against some stiff competition but kept cool game after game and always has a big smile on his face. It paid off with him earning $100,000 and a spot on the show again against regular “Jeopardy!” winners in the annual Tournament of Champions.

WCCO reports through the A.P.  “I’m so proud and happy to represent the state of Minnesota, and also represent students at large public universities who sort of get viewed in a different way than, say, some private colleges. I really love representing my hometown college and my community.”

Sarma, is a chemical engineering major and  became the first winner of the tournament from a public university since 2014.
