The We All Play Inclusive Playground is now even closer to its fundraising goal, thanks to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. City Administrator Kris Busse was on our Talk of the Town program and she mentioned that there was a grant awarded for the We All Play playground that is planned for Manthey Park right here in Owatonna.

The grant amount, totaling $200,000, is coming from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LAWCON), and according to Audrey Mularie, Grant Specialist Coordinator for Parks & Trails department of DNR. The city will make a matching donation, which brings the playground even closer to the goal of $800,000 for the project.

This playground will have inclusive equipment on which kids of all ages and abilities will be able to use and play together. The grant that has been awarded is very much appreciated. I am excited to see this project completed. You can follow the fundrasising progress and other notes by checking the We All Play Facebook page.
