The Lighted Holiday Parade and Light of Lights takes place in Owatonna this Thursday evening starting at 6PM. Honorary guest, Greg Krueger will flip the switch to turn on the lights in Central Park. There are many other things happening this weekend and we'll take a look at some of them in a post tomorrow.

One of the fun events this weekend will be the Little Theater of Owatonna presenting Snapshots: Memories, Moments and Music.

This presentation is what is called a 'devised theater' in that a number of acts will reflect Christmas traditions from many parts of the world. The string that runs through the wide gamut of performances centers on a couple paging through a scrapbook and  I Phone reliving Christmas memories which then come alive on stage.

Acts range from a male Christmas Can Can performance to a Negro spiritual to a comedic holiday vocal/instrumental duet.

Show time is 7:30PM on Thursday, November 30 along with December 1 and 2 with a 2PM matinee on December 3. You're encouraged to take in more than one of the performances as the acts will vary from night to night. Each show will be a little bit different from the others.

The LTO Box Office opens at 4PM on November 27 or order online at the Little Theater of Owatonna web site.

Gaylene Steckelberg and Kathy Purdie are artistic directors. Kathy takes a look at some of the performances slated for this weekend.
