Brooktree Golf Course in Owatonna is hosting several events for all ages in conjunction with the Weekend Out promotion through the Parks and Recreation Department.

"Wine, women and golf" is for the beginner, or even the non-golfer. Each foursome will golf three holes. Three inexperienced golfers will be joined by a helper. It is informal with no scores being kept. It is scheduled for Saturday, July 15, at 2PM and 3:30PM, plus Wednesday, July 26, at 3PM. $15 covers golf and a glass of wine.

The Bloody Mary bar will be open early Sunday for the two-person "Bloodies and Birdies" tournament that begins at 10AM. Teams will be flighted after play. Several types of best-shot will be used.

Brooktree also offers a program for parents and youngsters to give the game a try together. Three holes of golf, a helper and a hot dog buffet costs $20. Ages 3-6, with an adult, are invited Sunday, July 16, at 1PM. Children ages 7-9 will be at 3PM. Call to register at (507) 444-2467. A session for 7-9 year old kids, with an adult, is also scheduled for Wednesday, July 19, at 3PM. No scores are kept.

Each Sunday is also a family fun day at Brooktree after 2PM with special rates.
