Hear from the Newest Members of the Owatonna High School Athletic Hall of Fame

The Owatonna High School athletic hall of fame had its 21st annual induction on Sept. 11. Listen to the reaction of the newest members of the hall.

Ed Draheim coached several sports at Owatonna High School from 1968-98. He created the girls' softball program in 1978. He won the Butch Nash assistant football coach of the year award in 1988. He says sports remains a big part of his life.

Jody (Neuleib) Young graduated from OHS in 1982 after lettering eight times in tennis, basketball and track. She competed at state in tennis twice and in two events at state for track. She says she started to get serious about sports around the junior high age.

Scott Kostelecky is a 1986 graduate of Owatonna. He lettered in hockey and golf a total of seven times. He says he enjoyed playing golf with his high school teammates when they all went off to college.

Matt Skala graduated in 1999 and has since come back to Owatonna to coach football and baseball. He lettered nine times in football, basketball and baseball as a Husky. He says coaching was not a goal of his when he attended OHS.

Mike Lundstrom is a 2000 OHS graduate and lettered 10 times in football, basketball and track. He told KRFO when he was young his piano teacher told his father that he didn't have a future in sports.
