Coach P.J. Fleck is holding several open practices with the public invited, according to gophersports.com. That includes Tuesday, August 8, at 3:30PM and Friday, August 11, at 4:15PM at the Gibson-Nagurski Football Complex on campus.
This season marks the senior campaign for Owatonna High School graduate Andrew Stelter. The 2014 Huskies graduate was part of the state championship team in 2013. As a Gophers junior defensive lineman last fall, he played in 13 games, starting five. Fleck had high praise for Stelter during the Gopher road trip stop in Owatonna in May, complimenting him on his leadership.
After a day off on Sunday, the team returned to the practice field Monday. Gopher games will be heard again on KRFO AM 1390 beginning with the 6PM kickoff on Thursday, August 31, against Buffalo at TCF Bank Stadium. View their full schedule.
