Upon arrival "light smoke was coming out of the front of the building. Crews were able to verify quickly that no one was inside the home and the occupants were able to tell the Officer in Charge that the fire was in the bedroom in the basement."

"Crews made entry and found the fire in the basement just as the occupants had said.  Overhaul and ventilation was performed and an investigation into the cause began.  Some floor joists were damaged but the fire damage was contained to the room of origin. There is smoke damage throughout the home and all utilities were shut off. Crews cleared the scene at 3:48 pm."
