The Faribault Falcons girls basketball team is the #7 seed in the Section 1AAA Tournament while the Bethlehem Academy Cardinal boys play Monday in Section 1A action.  The Cardinals are the #19 seed out of 20 teams in the section.

Section 1A does not have two subsections opting instead to seed 1 through 20.  I did a seed scenario beforehand and had the Cardinals #18 which is where they would have been seeded if QRF had been used to seed the teams.

Bethlehem Academy travels to Spring Valley to play Kingsland Monday night on POWER 96 Radio.  Jerred Becker will have the call beginning 6:45 p.m.

The winner of that game plays at #3 seed Randolph Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

Blooming Prairie (21-3) is the top seed and will play wither #16 United Christian Academy (16-9) out of Bloomington or #17 Glenville-Emmons (5-20).

#15 Fillmore Central (4-22) hosts #18 Mabel-Canton (3-21) with the winner going to #2 seed Hayfield (21-5) Thursday night.

#8 Southland (9-14 hosts #9 Spring Grove (13-12).  #4 Schaeffer Academy (21-5) sees #13 Lanesboro (12-14) in Rochester.

#5 Grand Meadow (18-7) has #12 Leroy-Ostrander (10-16) make the short drive to the Super Larks gym.  #7 Rushford-Peterson (12-13) hosts #10 Wabasha-Kellogg (10-16)

#6 Lyle-Pacelli (18-7) is at home against Houston (14-12) Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Section 1A Semifinals are March 4th in the Rochester Mayo Civic Arena.  The Section title game will be played March 7th at the Rochester Mayo Civic Auditorium.

The Faribault Falcons (1-25) girls travel to #2 seed Austin (20-6) Wednesday to open their playoff basketball competition.  Game time is 7:00 p.m. with the contest on KDHL Radio beginning 6:45 p.m.

Red Wing (24-2) is top seed and received a bye in the first round.  They play winner of #4 Albert Lea (9-17) hosting Byron (11-15).

#3 Kasson-Mantorville (17-9) plays #6 Winona (3-23) Wednesday night.

The Section 1AAA Semifinals will be at the highest remaining seeds on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.  The championship game is March 6th, 8:00 p.m. at Rochester Mayo Civic Center Arena.
