When we were kids we watched a collie dog named Lassie help Timmy every week. In real life it's a dog named Coco credited by his owners for saving them from a house fire in Red Wing on Saturday.

According to KSTP, Jodi Lewis's family had trained Coco to ring a bell near the back door when the dog need to go outside and take care of business. When the fire broke out in the house on Burton Street, Lewis and her two children and Coco got out of the house as it was filling up with smoke, thanks to Coco ringing that bell.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated and a Gofund me page has been set up to help out the family.
