St Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Help has arrived for victims of recent flooding in parts of southeast Minnesota.

Gov. Walz has announced the Small Business Administration has approved his request for an Administrative Declaration of Disaster for Dodge, Goodhue, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, and Steele counties.

The request was submitted just this past Monday.

The declaration means property owners in the counties are now eligible for low-interest loans to help cover the costs of physical damage and economic injury.

The Disaster Loan Outreach Center will be open Saturday, August 3 at Kasson City Hall from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. It will also be open Monday - Friday and next Saturday. The office is scheduled to close Aug. 14th.
