The 19th annual Culturfest returns to Owatonna Saturday, September 23. It begins with the traditional Flag March where participants are invited to mark from the Northwoods Cinema to Wllson School under their ethnic flag for the festival.

Admission is free to Culturfest from 11-4:30PM. Ethnic foods to enjoy this year include Venezuelan, Tex Mex, Somali, American, German and more.

Entertain on the main stage begins with the Culturfest Ambassador award at 10:55AM. This years Ambassador is Maribel Palomo who grew up in Texas and moved to Owatonna in 2000.

Demonstrations this year include Henna art, Bee Keeping, Butter Churning, and Pottery. You can also learn about Hmong Farming, growing apples, raising chickens and alpacas in the demonstration area.

Sports this year include hurling, curling, Shotokan Karate, baseball and cricket.

Applications are still being accepted for the Amazing Culturace. It's an opportunity to compete and win cash for your favorite charity.
