Owatonna Soccer Sweeps John Marshall; Volleyball Beats Winona
The Owatonna girls soccer team won its fourth straight match, blanking Rochester John Marshall 1-0 on a late first half goal by Jordan Whalen. It was the Huskies fifth shutout of the season. OHS (8-3 overall, 4-2 Big Nine) hosts Rochester Mayo at 7PM Thursday at the Lincoln Soccer Complex.
The Huskies boys had seven different players score goals in a 7-1 trouncing of John Marshall in Rochester Tuesday. OHS goes to Mayo Thursday at 7PM.
OHS volleyball came away with a 3-2 victory at Winona. After winning the first two sets, Owatonna dropped the third and fourth, but captured the fifth set 15-6 to take the conference match. OHS (6-7, 2-1 Big Nine) plays at defending conference champ Rochester Century Thursday, with play-by-play on Kat Kountry 105FM.
