Cardinals Shut Out Medford, Keep The Paddle
It was the Battle for the Paddle at Bruce Smith field in Faribault on Friday night as the 1-1 Cardinals of B.A. faced the 0-2 Medford Tigers.
The Only score of the first half came at 5:38 to go in the 1st when Jack Clark scored the first of his 4 touchdowns with an 11 yard run. Anthony Langfeldt kicked the extra point and it was 7-0. Nate Bauernfeind scored two touchdowns in the second but both were called back due to illegal shift penalties. The Tigers moved the ball down the field well at times but could not get past Alex Bongers and others on the Cardinal defense to score. Jack Clark scored on a 5 yard run in the 3rd and it was 13-0 after the extra point failed. in the opening of the 4th Avery Hunt connected to Nate Bauernfeind for a 27 yard play. Another muffed extra point and it was 19-0. 9:51 to go Jack Clark on an 18 yard run, Jade Bokman madre the kick but it was called back on a big penalty which brought it out to the 25 yard line. Then at 5:52 left Clark scored on a 40 yard play, Bokman made the kick and it was 32-0.
Bauernfeind, Hunt and Clark combined for 407 rushing yards, with Clark having 27 carries for 259 yards.
B.A Travels to Kenyon on Friday to face the nights, coverage at 6:45pm on KDHL. Medford faces Mayer Lutheran.
