Brooktree Golf Course Announces New Food Service, Opening Day
Brooktree Golf Course in Owatonna is excited to announce its new food and beverage service provider, in addition to the opening of the golf season. Schultzy's Restaurant Group, LLC will operate Tavern Nine. "We are excited to expand into Owatonna," said owners Owen and Adam Schultz of the Montgomery-based, family-owned business. "We plan to offer Brooktree patrons our most popular menu items with our new Tavern Nine menu."
The course is scheduled to open Tuesday, April 5 with Tavern Nine to initially offer a limited menu and launch their full menu as golfing activities increase, according to a news release from the City of Owatonna. Schultzy's has more than 25 years of experience in offering dining and banquet services. They also own the 1319 Woodfire Tavern in New Prague.

Director of Parks and Recreation Facilities Jenna Tuma says, "In our listening sessions last fall, we heard about how important food and beverages at Brooktree are to the golf community."
"Adding year-round food and beverage services in the clubhouse positions this facility to serve the golf community, the neighborhood and the entire community in a more robust way." Tavern Nine will also host private events. Reservations are now being accepted. The food and beverage agreement continues through 2024. The Owatonna City Council approved the plan at its March 15 meeting.
Renovations at the clubhouse this winter include new flooring, light fixtures and paint. Tuma adds, "The Brooktree experience is being reimagined to create a neighborhood hub for fun and a scenic experience for the whole community to enjoy."
