Biofuels Reach A Landmark In Minnesota

There are now 300 stations in Minnesota selling 88 octane fuel in the state. In all there are more than 400 E85 stations now operating in the state. As a result officials along with the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, American Lung Association and other renewable fuel advocates will be celebrating. A special event to commemorate this landmark will take place on Thursday, December 13 at 1:30PM at the Vinewood Holiday Station in Plymouth.

The Biofuels Infrastructure Partnership is a national public-private effort to make cleaner-burning ethanol fuels available to more Minnesota motorists. Minnesota has been the recipient of $8 million for ethanol infrastructure development. In all, a total of 137 locations across Minnesota have received funds through this campaign.
