The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will be offering instruction on beginner fly-fishing in April. It's an opportunity where a youth paired with an adult can join other pairs Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28 near Lanesboro. Youth must be 11 to 17 years old as of April 26. Both the adult and the youth must each have less than five hours of fly-fishing experience.

Instructors will show participants how to tie knows, use and care for equipment, what fish need to survive and how to protect fishing for future generations. The registration fee per pair is $130. This fee includes, meals, lodging, guide service, and equipment. This event is limited to the first 20 youth-adult pairs.
