Bail Set For Convicted Drug Dealer Blamed For Fatal Overdose
Faribault, MN Conditional bail has been set at $500,000 for a Faribault man charged with supplying heroin to the victim of a fatal drug overdose.
28-year-old Anthony Fugalli made his first appearance today in Rice County Court on a third-degree murder charge for his alleged involvement in the death of a 38-year-old Faribault man last June. He was arrested about 10 hours after the man's death was discovered.
An earlier statement from the Faribault Police Department stated that Fugalli confessed to selling heroin and also indicated he warned the victim the drug might contain the synthetic opioid fentanyl, which officials have linked to a growing number of fatal overdoses in Minnesota.
Fugalli is scheduled to return to court for an evidentiary hearing in March.
