We are still 3 weeks away from Halloween, but right now this yard in Rice County might just have the best Halloween decorations going. The homeowners have taken what appears to be old Demolition Derby cars and posed them to look like a gory accident scene. I know they got me to look twice as I went by.

The first time I drove past the home located on Highway 21 and County Road 36 I thought I had come across the scene of a fresh accident. But as I got closer I realized that the cars were part of a larger Halloween decoration display that was being put up, as there were other decorations nearby.

The scene depicted is kind of a gory one, there is a decapitated mannequin, the head is placed near the car, and another mannequin that has been placed to look like it was ejected from the other vehicle.

I would have to think that the Sheriff's Office has gotten a call or two about the scene early on, that's how real this looks at first glance.

Overall, in the spirit of Halloween, in a year where things are looking like we will be getting back to a more 'normal' celebration this year, this could very well be the BEST Halloween display in Southern Minnesota.
