A post on the office’s Facebook page shares a deputy’s dash camera video from early Friday morning. The video shows a driver traveling in the opposite direction of the deputy crossed the center line and forced the deputy to veer onto the shoulder to avoid the collision.

The post says the incident happened on Hwy. 3 north of Faribault. Officials say the deputy was able to find and arrest the motorist on suspicion of DWI. The Rice County Sheriff’s Office says the incident is a reminder to plan for a sober ride and not to drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
