A Lucky Powerball Winner in Wisconsin and a $50,000 Winner in Zumbrota
Undated (KROC AM News) - A ticket sold in Wisconsin matched all the numbers in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing to win the grand prize of $768,400,000.
It was sold in the town of New Berlin, near Milwaukee.
The jackpot had not been won since the day after Christmas and started the day at $750,000,000. It was the third largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.
Another ticket sold in Stillwater, Minnesota matched the first five numbers to win a second place prize worth $2-million. It was double the normal amount because the buyer purchased the power play option.
There were also three 3rd place winners in Minnesota, including one in Zumbrota. It was sold at the Casey’s General Store. The other two were sold in Paynesville and Savage.
