Sue Garwood discusses the history and tradition of “hairwork,” artwork made from human hair. The Rice County Historical Society has several pieces, two of which are on display. One of those also is a family tree of sorts for the Winkley family of Faribault; it includes the name of each family member who contributed hair to the art piece.

New episodes featuring Rice and Steele county history are posted to the KRFO-AM YouTube channel and krforadio.com each Sunday at noon, with information courtesy of the Rice and Steele county historical societies.
