A Look At The National ‘Day Of’ Celebrations In June

June. 301 days that usually signify the true arrival of summer.  After all - the summer solstice occurs around the middle of the month.  The days of June are filled with high school and college graduations, the final days of school for the kids, bridal showers, weddings, and gardening.  If you haven't already, you'll probably set out the deck and patio furniture.  That's why it's good to have some holidays and celebrations to help pass the time - as we set our sights on summer and warmer weather to come.

The month of June brings a variety of different holidays and celebrations. From celebrations of food items (olives, chicken, ice cream, etc) to things like cameras, insurance, and eyewear - there is a lot going on.  These celebrations often bring the opportunity for cards, presents, special meals, days off, etc. In fact - some argue that these holidays are just excuses to buy things. But a closer look at the calendar reveals that there is something special going on for each of the days of the month. Looked at through that lens, there is actually an awful lot going on during the fifth month of the year.
