3 Amazing Ways Minnesotans Celebrate Valentine’s Day with their Pet
We love our pets. And with Valentine's Day around the corner, many pet owners in Minnesota will celebrate the day with their pet. Maybe some will even do something special with their human partner.
A survey conducted by Wild Earth, a pet food company that offers great blogs on a number of topics, found a high percentage of pet owners recognize the holiday in ways that, frankly, surprise me.
Over 30 percent of people will make a special meal for their favorite furry friend. I wonder how many will also allow Fido or Rover to sit at the table to eat it.
Nearly 40 percent of pet owners will buy their Garfield a new toy. That item might be a squeaky toy. I imagine a fairly high percentage of those animals will then go to great lengths to rip, tear or destroy that toy to pull its heart from it.
One-in-five pet owners will do a photo shoot, with some dressing up Precious in a Valentine's Day outfit, possibly even a matching outfit to their own.
Christmas saw even higher numbers of pet owners treating their Jazzy some how. Wild Earth found almost 95 percent of owners doing something to include their pet in the holiday. At our house, we would always hang a stocking for the dogs. And for years, we would get and give, gifts to the pets of our close family members.
