Cold temps and more snow did not pair well for Minnesota roadways. Minnesota Department of Transportation caught hundreds of crashes on camera.

The weather has been the talk of the state for the past few weeks. Last week we went into full winter storm and blizzard warning, even getting into some crazy winter weather record territory.

During last week's storm, we got thunder snow, and the snowfall total entered the history books for as a top-10 two-day snow event in Duluth reaching a total of 21.4 inches. You can check out the updated snowfall totals from that storm here.

Now we get to the week of Christmas and more winter weather madness. Many Minnesotans went to Twitter to share some winter traffic incidents:

Some workers are having some fun with the weather:

According to BringMeTheNews, MnDOT cameras caught more than 500 crashes, spinouts, and jackknifes that were reported on Minnesota roads. I say it every year and I'll say it again. Please for the love of Minnesota, always drive with caution during this time of year because Mother Nature can be a cruel mistress.

FOX9 also reported a blizzard warning that goes into effect at noon Thursday (12/22) in southern and western Minnesota. So if you're traveling for the Holidays, please be as careful as you can. These blizzard warnings are in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday. Areas north and east of the Twin Cities could also be affected by the blizzard warning.
