Waseca County Traffic Fatal
A semi driver from Iowa lost his life in a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday just south of Waseca. The State Patrol reports that 52-year-old Ryan Uker of Rockford, Iowa, was northbound on Highway 13 about 5 miles south of Waseca when it crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle. Uker suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The driver of the southbound vehicle, 31-year-old Zakary Massie of Northville, Michigan, was transported to Mayo Health Systems in Mankato with no life-threatening injuries. The accident, which occurred just before 1PM, resulted in Highway 13 being closed and traffic rerouted for a period of time.
On Tuesday just before 1PM, a 17-year-old Faribault High School senior, Isaac Brent Ohlemann, lost his life in a two-vehicle accident in Scott County. The driver of the other vehicle, 43-year-old Kimberly Pirri of New Market, was transported to Fairview Ridges Hospital.
