Janesville, MN (KROC-AM News)- A shooting in a small southern Minnesota town resulted in one injury and two arrests Tuesday afternoon.


The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management confirmed the shooting happened in downtown Janesville just before 3:30 p.m. A news release regarding the incident indicates the shooting victim had to be airlifted from the scene.

The two suspects were arrested in rural Waseca County immediately after the shooting, officials say. No other injuries were reported. Authorities have not released the names of the suspects or the injured person. The condition of the person shot is also unknown at this time. 

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed the shooting to call 507-835-0500.
