According to the Minneapolis Police Dept., the wild scene began around 2:00 am in the 300 block of N. 1st Ave.

Officers and other first responders arrived to find several people lying on the ground, all suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police issued a tweet “asking people to leave the area.”

It was reported there were five male and five female victims, all adults. The department later reported one of the survivors was in critical condition while seven others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The violence apparently began when two people got into an argument and began shooting at each other. It’s not known if they were among the victims.

There were no reports of arrests as of Saturday morning.

The site of the shooting is in the vicinity of the Fine Line venue and is also a few blocks from a police station.  It's also a few blocks from Target Field.
