County Highway 23 or the Frontage Road West from Owatonna to Medford has now reopened. The two culverts have been replaced. Work to resurface the bituminous pavement on 23 and 9 from County 23 to County 45 will continue. This work will be done under lane closures and flaggers.

A reminder that part of the ongoing County 12 construction project west of Medford will impact County 23. The work to improve the intersection with storm sewer work, pavement widening, milling and paving will be starting soon. This work will take until fall.

Another reminder that 26th Street from State Avenue to Cedar Avenue is now closed and will remain closed until Monday, August 26. The Union Pacific Railroad is making repairs at the railroad crossing. There is a detour posted using Cedar Avenue, North Street, Hoffman Drive and State Avenue.

Our first sports play by play begins Tuesday with Owatonna volleyball on Kat Kountry 105 with football on both the AM and FM next week. Download our free app and follow along.
