Shooting Reported In Cannon Falls Late Thursday Night
According to a social media post by the Cannon Falls Police Department, there was a shooting that was reported last night around 11:50 PM. The suspect, a 45-year-old male, surrendered to Cannon Falls Police and was taken into custody. The victim a 32-year-old male was taken to the hospital with what were reported to be non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
According to the post last night at 11:51 pm "the Goodhue County Dispatch received a 911 call to the 100 block of Village Ave East to a report of a person that was shot.
Cannon Falls Police Department responded and upon Officer's arrival the suspect, a 45-year-old male, surrendered and was taken into custody. Cannon Falls Ambulance responded to the scene and transported a 32-year-old male with gun-shot injuries to the hospital. The injuries were reported at the time as non-life-threatening."
It was reported that a weapon was recovered from the scene and that there is no "risk to the public at this time."
The information gathered from the officers and Goodhue County Deputies at the scene will be forwarded to the Goodhue County Attorney for formal charges.
